WASHINGTON, DC – The York College men's tennis team picked up their second straight win as the Spartans edged Catholic University 5-4 in non-conference action on Saturday afternoon in Washington, DC.

Spartan Doubles Winners:

1^st Doubles: Zach Hanson/Rory Handlin def. Matthew Holtschneider/Rob Alexander 8-4

2^nd Doubles: Sam Innerst/Devin Lehigh def. Jan Lasota/Ted Tiu 8-4

Notes: The Spartans have now won two straight for the first time this season … York is now 2-1 in matches decided by one point …. The Spartans have won four in a row against Catholic with three of those wins coming by a score of 5-4.

What's Next: The Spartans head to St. Mary's City to face the St. Mary's Seahawks in a Capital Athletic Conference contest on Saturday, March 19. The match is slated for a 12:00 pm start.
