Women's Swimming Cruises Past Elizabethtown in Season Opener

ELIZABETHTOWN, PA – The York College women's swim team opened their 2016-17 campaign with a 163-83 non-conference victory over Elizabethtown College on Saturday afternoon in Elizabethtown.

Spartans swam the even as exhibition

 

Meet Notes:

The Spartans swam the 100 butterfly, the 400 IM and the 200 free relay as exhibition events … Kate McConaghy would have won the 100 fly with her time of 1:05.67 while Rachel Spaulding would have placed second with a time of 1:07.38 … Julia Trudel clocked in with a time of 5:00.06 which would have been good enough to win the 400 IM … the 200 free relay foursome of Eanna Hehir Keys,  Caitlin Campbell, Taylor Michelini, Taylor Witte combined to post a time of 1:31.25 which would have won the event by over four seconds … Maddy Mann and Caitlin Campbell each recorded two individual wins and were both part of the winning 200 medley relay … York earned eight individual first place finishes.

 

Up Next:

The Spartans make their home debut on Saturday with a Capital Athletic Conference meet against Salisbury University. The action is set for a 1:00 pm start in York.
