GETTYSBURG, PA – The York College women's tennis team dropped a 7-2 decision at Gettysburg College on Thursday afternoon in Gettysburg.
The Bullets improve to 4-3 overall while the Green and White fall to 3-9 for the campaign.
The Bullets captured all three doubles points to jump out to the 3-0 lead. The first doubles match saw the Bullets duo of Laura Gradiska and Lindsay Morris edge the York tandem of Katie Wagner (Glen Rock, Pa./Susquehannock) and Darian Naill (New Windsor, Md./South Carroll) 9-8 (8-6). The Bullets won the second doubles match 8-3 and the third doubles 8-1.
Wagner kept rolling in singles play as she defeated Isabelle Rodriguez 6-2, 6-3 in the first singles match. Mckenzie Krout (Red Lion, Pa./Red Lion) earned the Spartans other singles win as she defeated Gillian Minnerly 3-6, 6-2, 10-7 in the fourth singles match.
The Spartans return to action with a 12:30 pm home match on Friday against Mary Washington at the Spartan Tennis Centre.
