CARLISLE, Pa. – The York College men's swimming team surrendered a 125-75 victory to Dickinson College on the road on Saturday afternoon.
The Spartans (3-5) opened the day with a second place finish in the 400 yard medley relay as the team of Morgan Schreiber (Pottstown, Pa. / Pottsgrove), Kyle Walthall (Port Hueneme, Calif. / Rio Mesa), Trevor Brinton (Landenberg, Pa. / Avon Grove) and Jacob McConnell (Chesterfield, N.J. / Northern Burlington) combined for a time of 3:40.66.
Walthall captured to second place finishes on the day. The senior All-American recorded a time of 10:31.04 in the 1000 yard freestyle and swam a time of 5:02.02 in the 500 yard freestyle.
Esdras Moore (Dallas, Pa. / Dallas) also competed in the 1000 and 500 yard freestyle events as he placed fourth in the 1000 with a time of 10:49.15 and fifth in the 500 with a time of 5:24.38.
Sophomore Artem Peshenko (Elkins Park, Pa. / Abington) was York's top-performer in the 200 yard freestyle with a fourth place finish at a time of 1:55.41.
In the 50 yard freestyle, Brinton placed second with a time of 22.98 and Nick Foltz (Ridley Park, Pa. / Ridley) took fourth with a time of 24.04.
In the 100 yard freestyle, McConnell led a trio of Spartan freshmen with a third place finish at a time of 50.63. Colin Sload-Diehl (Windsor, Pa. / Red Lion) placed fourth with a time of 52.63 and Brandon Tarbrake (Beltsville, Md. / Gonzaga College) took fifth with a time of 55.70.
Schreiber placed second in the 200 yard backstroke with a time of 2:03.15.
