YORK, PA – The York College women's tennis squad suffered a 9-0 loss to visiting Gettysburg Wednesday afternoon in York. With the defeat, the Spartans fall to 5-7 on the 2010 campaign while the Bullets up their season mark to 6-3.

In doubles action, the Spartans' Katleyn Acker (Narvon, Pa./Pequea Valley) and Paige Doutrich (Gap, Pa./Pequea Valley) put in the Spartans' best effort but still fell to the Gettysburg duo of Meghan Kelly and Katie Taylor by an 8-3 count.

In singles, the visiting Bullets pierced through the Green and White, winning each of the six matches in straight sets.

The Spartans will look to get back into the win column on Tuesday, April 6, when they host Capital Athletic Conference foe Stevenson in a 3:30 p.m. tilt in York.
