CARLISLE, PA- The York College men's tennis team saw their
regular season come to a surprising end as the Spartans dropped a
9-0 decision at Dickinson College on Saturday morning in
Carlisle, PA. The Spartans end their regular season with a mark of
14-4. Dickinson improves to 7-6 overall.
The doubles matches were all close. The first and third doubles
both went to Dickinson by scores of 8-6. The second doubles match
was 8-5 as York fell behind early.
The singles matches were something totally different as the Red
Devils dominated all six matches, capturing each in two sets.
The Spartans will now host Wesley College in the opening round
of the Capital Athletic Conference tournament on Tuesday,
April 15. The match is scheduled for a 3:30 pm start. The winner of
the York/Wesley match up will face the winner of the Mary
Washington/Hood quarterfinal in Friday's semifinals at the
site of the higher seed.
