CARLISLE, PA-The York College women's
tennis squad ended their campaign with an 8-1 loss at Dickinson
College on Sunday afternoon in Carlisle, PA. The Spartans end the
season with a mark of 5-6 while the Red Devils improve to
10-8.
The
Red Devils cruised to three wins in the doubles matches. Dickinson
won the first and third doubles by identical 8-0 scores. They
captured the second doubles match 8-3.
The
Spartans opened the singles matches with their lone win as
junior Erin
Dolac (Bangor, PA/Bangor Area) recorded a 6-3, 1-6, 10-5 victory in the first
singles match. The Red Devils won the remaining five singles
matches in straight sets.
York
returns their entire starting lineup in 2008 as the Spartans will
look to build on the successes of 2007.
