YORK, PA-The York College men's
tennis team rolled to an 8-1 non-conference win over Lebanon Valley
College in York on Thursday. The Spartans improve to 9-6 overall
while the Flying Dutchmen fall to 5-9 for the season.
The green and white swept the three doubles

Kulp (Souderton, PA/ Homeschooled) won
their first doubles match 8-6. Tim
Mowrer (Gordonville, PA/ Pequea Valley) andJoel
Trimmer (Hanover, PA/ Hanover)posted an 8-2 win in the second doubles contest
while Dave
Tabachnik (Manalapan, NJ/ Manalapan) andShawn Holzmann (Red Hook, NY/ Red
Hook) teammed up to earn an 8-3 victory in the third
doubles match.
Mowrer kicked off the singles action with a 6-2,
4-6, 11-9 win in the first singles match. Fickes posted a solid
7-5, 6-2 win in the second singles. The Flying Dutchmen got their
lone victory in the third singles match as Matt Grodzinski notched
a 4-6, 6-3, 10-8 win over Tabachnik.
The green and white closed out the day with a
Trimmer win at fourth singles, a Kulp victory at fifth singles and
a Wiesemann win at sixth singles.
The Spartans close out their regular season on
Sunday as they travel to McDaniel to face the Green Terror and the
St. Mary's College Seahawks in a tri-match. The action is
slated to kick off at 9:00 am in Westminster, MD.
