CARLISLE, Pa. – The York College women's cross country team competed in the Dickinson Long-Short Invitational Saturday afternoon. The Spartans finished in 6th place out of 14 teams with a total of 183 points.
The race was a good practice for the team since the Regional meet will be held at the same course later in the season.
"Our top five women ran really great races," said head coach Erick Camodeca. "Caroline DeLany (Frederick, Md./Tuscarora) was especially impressive today."
The Spartans first finisher of the day was sophomore Jess Miller (Dauphin, Pa./Bishop McDevitt) in 25th place with a time of 24:47.9. Misty Parshall (Dover, Pa./Homeschooled) was the next to finish for the Green and White at 24:59.4. Following close behind Parshall was DeLany crossing the finish line at 25:01.1. Also scoring points for the Spartans was Nicole Danielewicz (Bensalem, Pa./Nazareth Academy) finishing at 25:28.3. Rounding out the top five finishers for York was Tuesday Wilson (York, Pa./Eastern York) with a time of 25:36.8.
The Spartans will return to action Saturday at 11:00 am for the Goucher College Classic.
