• Parshall, Thompson Compete at NCAA Regionals

    A pair York College women’s cross country runners competed at the NCAA Mideast Regional Meet Saturday at Waynesburg University in the southwestern portion of Pennsylvania. Over 300 runners represented numerous institutions throughout the region for the regional meet.

    The York College women's cross country squad finished third of seven teams at the 2008 Capital Athletic Conference championships hosted by the University of Mary Washington on Saturday in Fredericksburg, VA. The Spartans' Corie Thompson was named the CAC Rookie-of-the-Year while Melody Parshall placed sixth in the race.
  • Spartans Down Gophers in Relay Meet

    The York College men’s and women’s cross country teams defeated Goucher College Saturday morning 24-31 in a relay-style meet. This was the final tune-up for the Spartans before heading into the Capital Athletic Conference Championships on Saturday, November 1.

    The York College women’s cross country team traveled to Gettysburg College Saturday afternoon to compete in the Gettysburg Invitational. The Spartans finished 16th out of 21 squads.

    The York College women's cross country squad finished seventh of 17 teams at the Belmont Cross Country Classic in Philadelphia, PA. The Spartans accumulated 209 points on the afternoon.

    The York College women’s cross country squad posted a second-place finish at the 2008 Spartan Invitational held at nearby John Rudy Park, as seven other schools joined the green and white for the race. Four Spartans recorded top-25 finishes including a pair of top-fives.
