BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The York College women's track and field team competed at the 2015 Greyhound Invitational hosted by Moravian College on Saturday afternoon.
Emily Cronise (Boonsboro, Md. / Boonsboro) took home York's top placement of the day as she paced seventh in the 800 meter run with her season-best time of 2:22.74. Shannon Kuseryk (Ewing, N.J. / Ewing) also ran the 800 meter and she placed 17th with her outdoor season-best time of 2:29.30.
Carrie Mowen (Waynesboro, Pa. / Waynesboro Area) had an outstanding performance in the field for York as she placed eight in the high jump with a personal-best height of 5' 0.5" in the high jump. Mowen now has to jumps inside the top-five in the CAC this season.
Several Spartan sprinters set personal records in the 100 and 200 meter dashes.
Bria Jones (Medford, N.Y. / Patchogue-Medford) was York's top finisher in the 200 meter with a 21st place finish and a personal-best time of 27.27. Hannah Conway (Pasadena, Md. / Chesapeake) finishes right behind Jones in 22nd place as she set a new personal record with a time of 27.28. Marissa Brisbane (Damascus, Md. / Damascus) and Jocelyn Parker (Mount Arlington, N.J. / Roxbury) both set personal records in the 200 meter as Brisbane recorded a time of 28.43 and Parker ran a time of 28.76.
Brisbane and Parker also set personal records in the 100 meter dash with times of 13.47 and 13.90 respectively.
The 4x100 meter relay team consisting of Conway, Parker, Jones and Brisbane put together its best performance of the season with a seventh place finish and a time of 51.82.
