The York College women's track and field team performed at a high level this past weekend as the Spartans competed at the Bison Open at Bucknell University on Friday and at the Patriot Games hosted by George Mason on Saturday.
Senior standout Jess Miller (Dauphin, Pa. / Bishop McDevitt) had the notable performance of the weekend as she broke her own indoor school record on Saturday at the Patriot Games in the 3K as she posted a time of 10:17.54 with a fourth place finish.
Several Spartans posted personal bests on Friday at the Bison Open.
Kathleen Cannon (Chapel Hill, N.C. / Chapel Hill) and Alicia Dillman (Leola, Pa. / Conestoga Valley) both set personal records in the 5K. Cannon posted a time of 19:11.46 as she took home fifth place in her section and Dillman ran a time of 19:17.19 as she took home a ninth place finish.
The Spartans continued to set personal records on Saturday at the Patriot Games.
Ericka Quenzer (Harrisburg, Pa. / Central Dauphin East) set a personal best as she recorded York's top time in the 200 meter dash with a time of 28.87.
Kasey Fogelsanger (Owings Mills, Md. / Mercy) set a personal record in the one mile as she put down a time of 5:28.12.
Caroline DeLany (Frederick, Md. / Tuscarora) had an outstanding performance in the one mile as she finished in 12th place with a time of 5:17.95, which is .71 seconds off her school record.
The 4x400 meter relay team put together a noteworthy at the Patriot Games as the foursome of Anne Measley (Highland, N.J. / Saint Rose), DeLany, Fogelsanger and Shannon Kuseryk (Ewing, N.J. / Ewing) took home a 10th place finish at a time of 4:23.76, which is just .78 seconds off the school record time of 4:22.98.
