Spartan Women Fall to Salisbury in Friday CAC Match

YORK, PA – The York College women's tennis squad fell to Salisbury University 9-0 in Capital Athletic Conference action on Friday afternoon in York.

The Sea Gulls captured the three doubles matches by identical 8-3 scores to secure the early lead.

Salisbury then won all six singles matches in straight sets as the Spartans dropped their second 9-0 conference decision of the year. York had not been swept in their previous nine matches on the year. York has lost two straight and four of their last five after starting the season 7-0.

The Green and White are now 7-4 overall and 1-2 in the league. The Sea Gulls improve to 12-3 overall and 4-0 in the CAC.

York welcomes Christopher Newport to York on Sunday afternoon for a conference match up. The match is scheduled for a 3:00 pm start.
