The York College women’s swimming team kicked off the 2013 Capital Athletic Conference Swimming Championships on Friday at St. Mary’s College of Maryland. At the end of day one, the Spartans currently stand in fourth place with 115 points and finished with two new school records.
Swimmers throughout the Capital Athletic Conference will be converging on The Aquatics Center at St. Mary’s College in St. Mary’s City, Md. on Friday for the start of the 2013 CAC Swimming Championships. The Championships, which are being hosted once again by St. Mary’s College will begin on Friday and continue through Sunday.
The York College women’s swimming team dove into a meter pool Saturday afternoon as they defeated Frostburg State in their season finale by a score of 110-78. The victory improved the ladies to 6-8 on the year.
New Spartan head coach Erin Kurtz leads her York College squad into action starting on Friday night when the Green and White travels to Mary Washington. Kurtz has a steady core of swimmers that she will look to guide through the season and into the CAC Championships.
