    The York College women’s soccer program received good news on Thursday morning as junior midfielder Caitlin Rankin earned All-Capital Athletic Conference honors as announced by the league office.
  • Spartans Shut Out at St. Mary's to End Season

    ST. MARY’S CITY, MD. – The York College women’s soccer team conceded two goals in under four minutes, and were unable to rebound at St. Mary’s College on Wednesday in Capital Athletic Conference action, falling 2-0. The loss eliminated the Spartans from CAC playoff contention, the first postseason without York since the program’s inception in 1996.

    York College freshman goalie Jess Wieber has been named the Capital Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.
  • Spartans Win Second Straight on Senior Day

    YORK, PA – The York College women’s soccer team defended home turf for the second consecutive Capital Athletic Conference contest, taking down Southern Virginia University 2-0 at Graham Field on Saturday afternoon. The shutout was the Spartans’ fourth of the season and second in a row. Both goal scorers, Amanda Healy and Georgia Gillcrist, tallied their first goals of the season.
  • Spartans Control Wesley to Earn Important CAC Win

    YORK, PA – The York College women’s soccer team dominated Wesley College 4-0 on Wednesday at Graham Field in Capital Athletic Conference play behind goals from three different scorers, including a brace from Caitlin Rankin. The Spartans unleashed a season-high 44 shots, placing 20 on target to stay right in the thick of the playoff chase.
  • Spartans Concede Late, Fall 1-0 on the Road

    SALISBURY, MD. – The York College women’s soccer team dropped a heartbreaker to Salisbury University 1-0 on Sunday in a Capital Athletic Conference contest. The game winner came with just four minutes remaining, ruining Jess Wieber’s clean sheet.

    The York College women’s soccer team dropped a 4-1 road decision at Frostburg State University on a foggy Wednesday night in Frostburg, Maryland.
  • York, Mary Washington Fight to 1-1 Draw

    YORK, PA – The York College women’s soccer team battled to a 1-1 draw with the University of Mary Washington on Saturday at Graham Field in Capital Athletic Conference. Natalie McCarthy buried a free kick early in the second half to put the Spartans in front, but the Eagles responded just five minutes later. It was the third game of the season that the Green and White played into double overtime.
  • Spartans Suffer Double Overtime Defeat to PSU Harrisburg

    HARRISBURG, PA -  The York College women’s soccer team suffered a heartbreaking defeat 1-0 in double overtime to PSU Harrisburg on the road in Capital Athletic Conference action on Tuesday. It was an even contest, with each team recording 11 shots, but the Spartans, who netted four on Saturday in a win over Marymount, couldn’t find their goal.
  • York Explodes in Second Half, Topples Marymount 4-1

    ARLINGTON, VA. – The York College women’s soccer team put together a complete performance, scoring four second half goals to defeat Marymount (Va.) University 4-1 and capture their first Capital Athletic Conference victory of the season. Four different players notched goals for the Green and White, who dominated possession and outshot the Saints 19-2.
  • Missed Opportunities Haunt Spartans in 2-1 Setback against Elizabethtown

    The York College women’s soccer team was defeated at home Wednesday night, falling to Elizabethtown College 2-1 in non-conference action. The Spartans outshot the Blue Jays 11 to 8 though York was only able to convert one of those opportunities into a goal.

    YORK, PA. – The York College women’s soccer team fell to 8th-ranked Christopher Newport University 1-0 at Graham Field to open Capital Athletic Conference play on Saturday. Freshman Jess Wieber made nine saves to keep the Spartans within striking distance.
  • York Shuts Out Juniata, Wins First of Season

    YORK, PA. – The York College women’s soccer team used three second-half goals to overpower Juniata College 4-0 in non-conference action at Graham Field on Wednesday. Sisters Alyssa and Caitlin Rankin joined Maxine Herman, who netted a brace, with goals for the Spartans’ first victory of the season.

    LEXINGTON, VA. - The York College women’s soccer team fought to a scoreless draw on the road against Washington & Lee University in non-conference action on Saturday. Jess Wieber made six saves in net to complete a clean sheet for the Spartans.

    WESTMINSTER, MD. – The York College women’s soccer team allowed three first-half goals before falling to McDaniel College 3-0 on Thursday. The 16th-ranked Green Terror proved to be too much, stifling the Spartan offense and conceding just two shots.
