YORK, PA – The York College wrestling team took seven consecutive matches to climb out of a 10-point deficit and take down The College of New Jersey 23-10 on Saturday at M&T Bank Fieldhouse. Greg Warner, at 149 pounds, scored a technical fall victory to kick start the turnaround for the Spartans. At 14-10, Frankie Krauss came from behind to defeat No. 2-ranked Daniel Kilroy at 184 pounds, 11-6, solidifying the Spartan advantage.

York defeated the Lions last year 21-14 … Greg Warner rebounded after his loss to Elizabethtown with his second tech fall victory of the season, and improved to 9-3 on the season … for the second straight dual meet, York has lost the first three matches … Eric Hutchinson moved to 8-3 on the season, and is one of just three Spartans to go 2-0 in the two dual meets this season, along with David Keith and Frankie Krauss … Krauss took down the No. 2-ranked wrestler at 184 in the nation … Krauss is 11-1 … Keith is now 9-3 … Jackson Drum, who also only has one loss, is now 11-1 … Hasan Alic is now 8-5 and Stefanos Karpotinis is 10-1, with his only loss coming to Elizabethtown in the last dual meet.
The Spartans will play host to 14 squads on Saturday, Dec. 2 for the New Standard Corp. Invitational. The tournament begins at 8 a.m. at the M&T Bank Fieldhouse.
