How it Happened:

• York wasted little time jumping on the Seahawks, scoring in just 18 seconds when Kayleigh Phillips put the Spartans up 1-0. It only took 1:06 for St. Mary's to respond, leveling the score at 1-1. After just 2:07, both teams had scored a pair of goals, and the shootout was underway. Skye Slater scored the second for York. But, during the middle portion of the first half, the Spartans scored eight consecutive goals to extend its lead to 10-2. Regan Cook scored three of those eight goals, and would finish with a career-high nine points on six goals and three assists. Her six goals ranks her tied for fourth-most in a game in school history, and her nine points places her in a tie for third all-time. Additionally, Devin Hursey had four of her school-record nine assists in that 7:09 stretch. Also, Hursey would finish with 11 points on the day, matching the most in a game in program history. Cook, Phillips, Slater, Hayley McCormick and Baleigh Bradley all scored during that span to push the Spartans ahead for good.

• After St. Mary's ended its scoring drought to pull within 10-3, York immediately scored two more, one from Cook and one from Meghan Fox as Hursey and Bradley added assists. Cook would add another goal before half, receiving another assist from Hursey, as York led 13-6 at the break.

• On two occasions to begin the second half, the Spartans would answer a Seahawk goal with a pair of their own. Slater and Melissa Meehling scored less than 30 seconds apart to push York up to a 15-7 lead with 26:17 to play. Again St. Mary's scored, but then Phillips returned the favor with two goals in a span of 1:11, with two assists from Hursey. McCormick scored her second of the game with just over 20 minutes to play, taking a pass from Cook, who would score and assist on another goal in the final 15 minutes. York cruised to a 22-12 win, the most goals scored in a game this season.
