Women's Lacrosse Takes Small Slide in Rankings

YORK, Pa – The York College women's lacrosse team dropped a few spots in the Lacrosse Magazine ranking to 15 and remained 10th in the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association poll, as the organizations announced Monday.

The Spartans went 1 and 1 on the week with a 10-8 home victory against Messiah in the rain and suffered a 10-3 loss to top-ranked Salisbury on Saturday at home.  York fell three spots in the Lacrosse Magazine poll to 15th but stayed steady in the IWLCA poll for 10th.

The Spartans have now faced two top four schools on the season.  Salisbury remains 1st in both polls, while Franklin and Marshall has jumped up one spot in both polls to sit at fourth in the nation

The women will travel for their next game on March 19th at 4:00 pm to face Dickinson.  The Spartans will then return home on Saturday for a match against Wesley at noon.
