YORK, PA - York College seniors Leah Schultz (Catonsville, Md./Seton Keough) and Katie Vautier (Harwood, Md./Archbishop Spalding) were named the Capital Athletic Conference Women's Lacrosse Players of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.
Schultz was named the Women's Lacrosse Co-Offensive Player of the Week after scoring 12 goals and adding an assist in two outings for the Spartans. Schultz started the week by keeping the Spartans in the game at 16th-ranked Messiah with a career-high six goals and adding seven draw controls. She matched her career-best performance with another six scores and an assist in Friday's CAC triumph over Marymount.
Vautier was named the Women's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week for the second time this season after collecting seven ground balls, eight draw controls and causing four turnovers in two games for the Spartans.
