Starner and Thomas on IWLCA Honor Roll
Nicole Starner and Carla Thomas have been named to the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Academic Honor Roll for their outstanding work in the classroom for the 2008 spring semester.

Starner to Receive IWLCA Community Awareness Award
Good news continues to roll in for the York College women’s lacrosse team as Nicole Starner has been chosen to receive this year’s Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association Division III Community Awareness Award. The senior will be honored at the IWLCA All-American banquet on June 14th in King of Prussia, PA.

Napolitano and Feustle Named IWLCA All-Region
The York College women’s lacrosse team continues to ride the wave of their outstanding 2008 season as Ali Napolitano and Anne Feustle were selected to the All-Metro Region first-team according to the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association.

Dragoni, Spartans Post Strong 2008 Campaign
The York College women's lacrosse team posted the best season in the short three-year history of the program in 2008. The Spartans compiled an 11-6 record including a 4-3 mark in the Capital Athletic Conference.

Villa Julie Ends Spartans Record-Setting Campaign
The York College women’s lacrosse team saw their season come to an abrupt end Sunday afternoon, suffering a 13-11 loss to visiting Villa Julie in the first round of the Capital Athletic Conference Tournament. Despite the loss, York posts their best season record in the short history of the program by going 11-6 overall and 4-3 in league play.

Muhlenberg Tops Spartans in Barnburner
The York College women’s lacrosse team fell to visiting Muhlenberg 16-12 in the Spartans’ final regular season contest. The green and white now head into Capital Athletic Conference tournament sporting an 11-5 (4-3 CAC) record

Spartans Dominate for Sixth Straight Victory
The York College women's lacrosse team won their sixth straight with a commanding 21-7 performance at the College of Notre Dame of Maryland Tuesday afternoon. The Spartans continue to set the program bar higher and higher as they sport an 11-4 mark in 2008.

Spartans Push Win Streak to Five with 22-9 Victory at Wesley
The York College women's lacrosse team continued their outstanding late-season play with a 22-9 Capital Athletic Conference victory at Wesley College on Thursday afternoon. The Spartans improve to 10-4 overall with the win and 4-3 in the CAC.

Big First Half Lifts Spartans on Senior Day
The York College women's lacrosse squad honored their seven seniors prior to Saturday's game with Farmingdale State. Once the game began, it was all Spartans as they rolled to a 17-6 non-conference win at Kinsley Field.

Spartans Establish Program Wins Record; Napolitano Sets Career-High
The York College women’s lacrosse team grabbed a convincing 20-9 victory over visiting Misericordia University Thursday evening as a cold wind swept across Kinsley Field for much of the contest. The Spartans (8-4) establish a new program record with eight wins on the season while the Cougars (4-4) are held to under ten goals for the first time all year.

VanLuit Scores Six as Spartans Drop Bobcats
The York College women's lacrosse team notched 17 tallies on a sunsplashed Kinsley Field Saturday afternoon, downing Frostburg State 17-3. The victory ups York's record to 7-4 on the season while Frostburg falls to 4-4.

Spartans Drop Villa Julie 16-12
The York College women’s lacrosse team used a pair of eight goal halves to drop Capital Athletic Conference foe Villa Julie 16-12 Wednesday afternoon at York’s Kinsley Field. The Spartans move to 6-4 on the season (3-3 CAC) while the Mustangs fall to 5-3 (1-3 CAC).

Bad First Half Costs Spartans against UMW
The York College women's lacrosse team overcame a big halftime deficit but fell to #17 University of Mary Washington 16-11 in a Capital Athletic Conference contest on Saturday in York. The Spartans have their three game win streak snapped with the loss.

Spartans Extend Win Streak to Three with 14-8 Win
The York College women's lacrosse team captured their third straight win with a 14-8 victory over Marymount University in Capital Athletic Conference action on Wednesday in Arlington, VA. The Spartans improve to 5-3 overall and even their conference mark at 2-2.

Spartans Capture 10-8 win at Susquehanna
The York College women's lacrosse team won their second straight with a 10-8 non-conference victory at Susquehanna University on Friday evening in Selinsgrove, PA. The Spartans, winners of three of their last four matches, improve to 4-3 overall.

Dragoni Nets First CAC Win as Spartans Roll Past Hood
The York College women's lacrosse team gave first-year head coach Jen Dragoni her first Capital Athletic Conference victory as the Spartans downed Hood College 23-3 in league play on Tuesday in Frederick, MD. The Spartans improve to 3-3 with the win.

Big Second Half Not Enough to Lift Spartans over Falcons
The York College women's lacrosse squad had a big second half performance but it was not enough to lift the Spartans over Messiah College as the Falcons posted a 14-12 win over the green and white on Saturday afternoon in Grantham, PA.

#2 Salisbury Rolls Past Spartans in Home Opener
The York College women's lacrosse team dropped a 22-4 decision to #2 Salisbury University in Capital Athletic Conference play on a sun-splashed and crisp Sunday afternoon in York. The Sea Gulls improve to 5-0 and 2-0 in the CAC while York falls to 1-2 and 0-2 in the CAC.

Spartans Down Greensboro 12-3 for Dragoni's First Win
The York College women's lacrosse team downed Greensboro College 12-3 on Wednesday afternoon in non-conference action. The victory is the first for new Spartan head coach Jen Dragoni and evens York's record at 1-1.

Seahawks Extend Spartan Losing Streak to Three
The York College women's basketball team continued their late season struggles with a 74-66 Capital Athletic Conference loss to St. Mary's College on Saturday afternoon in York. The Spartans fall to 15-7 overall and 7-6 in the conference.

Spartans Capture Coaches vs. Cancer Crown
The York College women's basketball team grabbed a 68-54 victory over Elizabethtown to claim the 2008 Coaches vs. Cancer Classic title. Kristen Daly was named the tournament's MVP while Keli Ward also made the all-tournament team.

Dragoni Named New Women's Lacrosse Coach
York College Dean of Athletics and Recreation Sean Sullivan is happy to announce that Jennifer Dragoni has been selected as the new Spartan women’s lacrosse coach. Dragoni replaces Allison Fordyce who had led the women’s lacrosse program for the first two years of the program.
