UPPERCO, MD – The York College women's golf squad finished second of five teams at Thursday's Stevenson Fall Invitational at Piney Branch Golf Club in Upperco, Maryland. The Spartans shot 386 as a team to finish second to the host Mustangs.

Top Spartan Performers
• Freshman Emma Harding led the Spatans with a third place finish in the 26 player field as she shot an 89. Harding shot 44 on the front followed by a 45 on the back. She finished nine strokes back of tournament champion Morgan Wirtz from Stevenson. She was two strokes out of second place as McDaniel's Meg Schlesinger shot an 87.
• Freshman Eunice Sung was York's next finisher as she placed tied for tenth with a 96. Sung shot 47 on the front and 49 on the back as she was tied with two others for tenth.
• Freshmen Lindsey Bonner was one and Bethany Snodgrass finished back to back in 14th and 15th place. Bonner shot 100 with a 49 on the front and a 51 on the back. Snodgrass carded a 101 with a 51 on the front and 50 on the back.
• Freshman KeriAnne Mahoney was York's fifth tournament participant as she finished 19th with a total score of 110.
The Spartans return to action on Monday, October 23 when they head to Hillendale Country Club to participate in the two-day Goucher College Invitational in Phoenix, Maryland. The tournament kicks off on Monday at noon.
