York senior guard APRIL SPARKMAN (Walkersville, Md./Walkersville) was named the CAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week after averaging 25.0 points, 8.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists and shooting 59.3% from the field (16-for-27) in a pair of CAC wins for the Spartans. It is the second time this season that Sparkman has earned the conference accolade.

The double-double is her third of the season and the 18th of her illustrious Spartan career.
Saturday, Sparkman added 14 scores, five boards, two assists, two steals and a blocked shot in a defensive struggle against Marymount as the Spartans won the fourth straight in the series.
Sparkman is averaging a conference-best 20.8 points per game as she is shooting 45.3% from the floor, 38.9% from three and 83.3% from the free throw line. She is also pulling in 9.7 rebounds per game, which is the second highest average in the CAC.
