2010-2011: Begins her final year in the Green and White looking to earn a spot in the Spartan front court rotation . . . is a good low block offensive player while she also has the ability to step out and score from the perimeter . . . has very soft hands . . . has good court vision for a post player . . . is a strong and physical rebounder while she has improved as a defensive player . . . as her conditioning improves, she will see more and more court time . . . is a Spartan co-captain.
2009-2010: Played in 25 of the Spartans’ 27 games last year, coming off the bench in all her appearances . . . averaged 16.8 minutes, 4.6 points, and 2.6 rebounds per game as a junior . . . registered a career-high 11 points in the January 18 game against St. Mary’s as she was 3-for-6 from the floor and a career-high 5-for-5 from the free throw line . . . reached double figures in scoring twice while she scored in 21 of her 25 appearances . . . pulled down a career-high seven rebounds in the January 23 game at Wesley . . . grabbed at least one rebound in 21 of her games . . . handed out a career-high three assists twice during the season as she did that against Johns Hopkins and McDaniel . . . tied a career-high with two steals three times during the year . . . shot 46.7% from the field and nailed both of her three point field goals during the year . . . shot 75.7% from the free throw line.
2008-09: Played in 27 of the Spartans’ 30 games, coming off the bench in all of her appearances . . . averaged 2.3 points and 1.5 rebounds per game while she averaged 7.6 minutes per contest . . . shot 50% from the floor for the season and 64% from the line . . . tallied a season-high six points in three different games including back-to-back games against Rutgers-Camden and Hood on November 30 and December 3 . . . established a season-high with five rebounds in the win over Rutgers-Camden . . . established her season-high with three field goals made three times during the year.
2007-2008: Finished her freshman year appearing in 15 games as she came off the bench in all her appearances . . . averaged 4.5 minutes per game and reached double figures in minutes twice . . . established season-highs in the January 19 win over?Gallaudet as she had seven points and three rebounds in 11 minutes of action . . . converted a career-high tying five free throws in that same game against the Bison . . . scored in nine of her 15 games and grabbed at least one rebound in 11 games . . . shot 78.6% from the free throw line as she sunk 11-of-14 from the stripe for the season . . . grabbed a career-high four rebounds in the February 20 win at Gallaudet.
Personal: Is the daughter of John and Cindi Byrne . . . born January 11, 1988 . . . is a Nursing major . . . played for Bernie Koontz at Winters Mill High School . . . earned first team All-County honors as a senior . . . also earned first team All-Conference accolades at Winter Mills.
