2011: Enters her senior year looking to earn a spot in the Spartan lineup, likely as an outfielder … is a player that gives maximum effort every day … is a vocal leader for the Spartans and provides great inspiration to the squad … has good gap power while she also has the ability to drive the ball out of the park … battles at the plate and give the Spartans consistently good at-bats … will see most of her time in the outfield during the year.
2010: Played in 20 games, coming off the bench in all of her appearances … hit .375 with 11 runs scored, a home run, and two RBI in eight at-bats … had a .750 slugging percentage and a .444 on-base percentage … stole two bases in three attempts for the year … had her best game of the year in the second game of the April 9 doubleheader sweep of Gallaudet as she was 2-for-2 with two runs scored and her only home run of the year … had a pinch-hit in the March 4 game against Widener … scored a run in 10 of her 20 games including two in the Gallaudet game.
2009: Saw action in eight games including a pair of starts … had two hits with three runs scored in her 13 at-bats for the year … had a hit and a run scored in her first appearance of the year on February 27 against Goldey-Beacom … had her best game of the year on March 31 against Gallaudet as she was 1-for-2 with two runs scored and a walk.
2008: Played in 16 games including seven starts during her freshman season … hit .308 with 10 runs scored, three doubles, and a pair of home runs for the campaign … drove in eight as she had a .654 slugging percentage and a .379 on-base percentage … established a number of career-highs in the April 8 game two win over Gallaudet as she was 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs scored, and two doubles … the three hits, two doubles, and the three RBI established a career high … also had a good game on April 19 vs. Hood as she was 2-for-3 with a run scored and a double … drilled her first collegiate home run in the April 23 game against Messiah and then went deep again on May 1 at Franklin & Marshall.
Personal: Is the daughter of Said and Sonia Halaka … is a behavioral science major … lists her parents and teammates as the people she most admires … names US National goalkeepers Hope Solo and Tim Howard as her favorite professional athletes … was a four-year member of the Spartan women’s soccer team and was a captain for the Green and White this past fall.
