Hartung then turned on the after-burners to soar through the last 1,000 meters in just 3:13 leaving everything he had on the course. As Tim surged across the finish line with almost nothing left he edged out the 25th place finisher, Andrew Padgett from Washington University, by just .2 seconds. Tim finished his York College cross country career with an 8 kilometer time of 25:12.3, for a 24th place finish, and his second All-American title.
Tim nabbed his second All-American award with his 24th place finish. With the level of competition at the national level, for an athlete to place in the top 25 two years in a row, it truly highlights Tim's hardwork, determination, and confidence.
