Spartan Cross Country Squads Receive Academic Honors
YORK, Pa. – The York College women’s and men’s
cross country programs received outstanding news this week as each
squad was named to the USTFCCCA 2010 Division III Cross Country
All-Academic list.
The Spartan women are one of three Capital Athletic Conference
schools to acquire the honor while the men’s side is one of
four from the league.
Within the women’s squad, the Green and White sport an
excellent 3.24 grade point average while the men posted a strong
3.16.
“I simply want to say congratulations to both our men's and
women's cross country teams,” head coach Erick Camodeca said.
“ This is a great accomplishment to add onto a great season.
I am very proud of each of our runners and I definitely want them
to continue to keep up the good work.”
According to the USTFCCCA, to qualify as an All-Academic Cross
Country Team, the team must have had a cumulative team GPA of 3.10
or better and have compiled a score (finished at least five
runners) at their respective NCAA regional championship.
