Spartan Men Drop a Pair in Season Opener Tri-Match at Goucher

TOWSON, MD – The York College men's tennis teams dropped a pair of matches Saturday to open their 2017 fall campaign. York fell to Goucher 8-1 to open the day on Saturday and then suffered another 8-1 setback to Dickinson in the nightcap.

The Spartans have dropped three straight against the Gophers … York's last win against Goucher came on September 20, 2014 as the Spartans earned a 6-3 win … the meeting between York and Dickinson was the first since the Red Devils' 8-1 on April 12, 2012 … York has lost 12 straight against Dickinson.

York returns to action on Friday afternoon as they travel to Gettysburg to take on the Bullets in a non-conference match. That kicks off a busy weekend for York as the Spartans will play at Gettysburg on Friday, at Messiah on Saturday and home against Lebanon Valley on Sunday.
