CHESTERTOWN, MD – The York College men's tennis team suffered a 9-0 non-conference loss at Washington College in Chestertown, Maryland on Sunday afternoon.
The Spartans fall to 3-3 overall as they have dropped three straight. The Shoremen improve to 4-3 with the victory.
The Shoremen opened the match with three decisive victories in the doubles matches.
That trend continued in the singles matches as Washington won five of the six matches in straight sets. York's Nathaniel Hoskins (Gap, Pa./Pequea Valley) was the other Spartan to extend his match to three sets before falling in the second singles match.
The Spartans are slated to make their home debut on Thursday, March 27 when they host Gettysburg College in a 4:00 pm non-conference match.
