LANCASTER, PA – The York College men's swim squad opened their 2018-19 season with a trip to Lancaster to participate in the Franklin and Marshall Fall Quad Meet on Saturday afternoon. The Spartan men went 1-2 as they defeated Widener 148-113 but fell to the host Diplomats 166-95 and to Mary Washington 177-84.
The Spartans had a big bright spot in the performance of sophomore Keven Stahl as he started his second year much like he ended his freshman year. Stahl picked up three individual wins and was also a part of the top three relay squad.

Sophomore Keven Stahl had 19 regular season wins as a freshman and picked up three in his opening meet of his sophomore year … Stahl's time in the 1000 is the top time in the CAC by almost 22 seconds … his time in the 200 fly is the top time by over three seconds … Stahl's time in the 500 free is the best by over 11 seconds … Greg Williams' time of 2:01.53 in the 200 backstroke is the top time in the CAC in the event … freshman Austin Gentry owns the top time in the CAC in the 100 backstroke at 54.68.
The Spartans will make their 2018 home debut next Saturday as the Spartans host Salisbury University in a Capital Athletic Conference match. The meet is slated for a 1:00 pm start at the Grumbacher Natatorium.
