YORK, Pa. – York College swimmer Kyle Walthall (Port Huereme, Calif./Rio Mesa) lands his first Capital Athletic Conference Men's Swimmer of the Week honor for his outstanding performance at last Friday's dual-meet against the University of Mary Washington.
Walthall had a trio of record-setting performances in his first collegiate weekend of swimming.
First, Walthall set a pair of school record in two wins against the UMW Eagles as he established new school marks in the 100 and 200 yard breaststroke.
In the Spartans win over Marymount the following day Walthall broke the Grumbacher Pool record in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:00.36.
Walthall and the Spartans return to action on Saturday at home against St. Mary's, Dickinson and Susquehanna. The meet is scheduled to start at 1:00 pm.
