A spirited effort was rewarded as the York College men’s soccer team claimed a 3-1 victory over Wesley on Wednesday evening at Graham Field. York once again turned in a pedestrian first half of play only to catch fire and start capitalizing on its best chances in the second stanza.

A second-half tally by junior forward Peter Lundgaard (Greenville, Del./Salesianum) proved to be all the York College men’s soccer team needed as the Spartans handed Johns Hopkins its first defeat of the season by a score of 1-0 on Wednesday evening at Graham Field.

After compiling its highest single-game shot total of the season, the York College men’s soccer team was held scoreless for the third time this season and recorded its third tie of the season in 0-0 draw with Susquehanna on Saturday afternoon at Graham Field.

An early second-half goal by junior Peter Lundgaard (Greenville, Del./Salesianum) to put York (1-1-2) up 2-0 proved to be the game-winner as Alvernia (3-2) notched a tally in the 79th minute, but was unable to do any further damage.

Teston and Lundgaard Combine to Forge A Road Tie for York
York College freshman Joel Teston knocked home a game-tying goal with just 48 seconds left in regulation as the Spartans forced a 2-2 double overtime tie at North Carolina Wesleyan on Saturday.

#10 Diplomats Edge #11 Spartans 1-0 in Physical Contest
In a game with very few good scoring opportunities, the Franklin & Marshall Diplomats were able to cash in one of those rare chances as they knocked off the York College Spartans in a regional men’s soccer match up on Saturday in Lancaster.
