YORK, PA - York College sophomore attack Andrew Gamble (Easton, Pa./Easton) was named the Capital Athletic Conference Men's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week as announced by the league office on Tuesday afternoon.
Gamble tallied a career-high six goals in the Spartans' 17-7 win at Muhlenberg on Saturday. Gamble notched three goals in the Spartans' big first quarter and two more in the second quarter as the Spartans took a 9-5 lead at the break. Gamble added another goal and an assist in the second half as the Spartans ran away from the Mules to earn the non-conference win. Gamble did his damage in ten shots on goal and 12 shots overall. He also had three ground balls in the win.
Gamble now has a team-leading nine points on seven goals and two assists.
