YORK, PA - York College junior golfer David Boslough (Dalton, Pa./Lackawanna Trail) was named the Capital Athletic Conference Golfer of the Week as announced by the league office on Wednesday afternoon.
Boslough won the award after finishing first in the Spartans' two tournaments for the week as York won both tournaments.
In the tournament win at Bent Creek in Lancaster, PA, Boslough carded a one-under-par 70 to tie for first with teammate Kevin Long (Webster, N.Y./Webster-Thomas). Long ended up winning on a match of cards but the 70 was a career best for Boslough.
The Spartan junior backed up Monday's strong performance with an even-par 71 at the Ursinus Invitational as the Green and White won the tournament by 18 strokes. Boslough tied with freshman teammate Anthony Wagner (Cold Spring Harbor, N.Y./Cold Spring Harbor) for first but this time Boslough earned the individual medalist honors on match of cards.
For the season, Boslough is averaging 74.8 strokes per round, an average of three-over-par. He has fired four of his five rounds in 70's with his other round being an 80.
