YORK, PA – York College senior field hockey standout Ali Posey has been selected to play in the Victory Sports Tours/National Field Hockey Coaches Association Division III Senior All-Star game as announced by the NFHCA on Wednesday.
The game will be held on Saturday, November 18 at Bellarmine University in Louisville, Kentucky. It will be a part of the NCAA Division III Final Four in Louisville.
Posey has been one of the best Spartans ever to wear the Green and White. Posey has led the Spartans to 47 wins over the last four years including this year's mark of 11-3 and a national ranking of 16th.
Posey is having another banner season as she has tallied 19 points on six goals and seven assists in the Spartans' 14 games. She has notched one game winning goal and is 1-for-1 on penalty strokes for the season.
Posey's career has been one of the best as she has totaled 118 points on 49 goals and 20 assists in 72 career contests. She is just one of three Spartans to eclipse 100 career points and she sits second in both career points and career goals. Posey is tied for fourth in game-winning goals and is tied for seventh in career assists.
Spartan head coach Katie Fost has enjoyed coaching Posey during her senior year.
"Ali does so many things well," says Fost. "She is a fantastic teammate who does everything for the betterment of our team. She is a hard worker and really understands the game. She is truly like having a coach on the field. Ali has been a joy to coach this fall and I am excited for her to earn this honor."
Posey is a three-time All-Capital Athletic Conference selection while she has also earned All-Region honors three times. She was the 2014 CAC Rookie of the Year and was the first Spartan in school history to earn All-American honors in 2015.
