O'Rourke Named Longstreth/NFHCA All-South Region

YORK, Pa. - The York College field hockey squad received more outstanding news following their 2011 season as senior Colleen O'Rourke has been selected to the Longstreth / NFHCA All-South Region squad. For her efforts this season, O'Rourke garnered a spot on the all-region second-team.

A first-team All-Capital Athletic Conference selection this season, O'Rourke was a tremendous performer for the Green and White while Bringing quality leadership to the Spartan squad. A gifted athlete, the senior started in each of York's 20 contests this season as she notched 19 points on five goals and nine assists.

"Colleen has been a foundational-type of player for our team," Spartan head coach Jamie Swartz said. "She covers the board. Colleen is one of the best defenders in our conference and she is also a threat in the offensive end. We are excited that other coaches recognized her contributions."

Over her four seasons, O'Rourke has played in 80 contests for York, tallying eight goals and 18 assists. She has also notched three defensive saves, all three coming in 2010.
