• Spartans Recognized for Academic Excellence

    The York College field hockey team was listed among the top 100 programs in the country for their academic prowess during the 2008 campaign according to the National Field Hockey Coaches Association. The Green and White achieved over a 3.0 grade point average while 12 Spartans were named to the NFHCA academic squad.

    The York College field hockey squad made significant strides this season under the direction of first year head coach Jamie Swartz. The Spartans, who more than doubled their number of goals scored from last season, finished the 2008 campaign with an 8-12 record and 4-4 in the CAC.
