Saturday's baseball doubleheader against Southern Virginia at Jaquet Field has been postponed. No make up date has been determined. Tuesday's game against Rowan has also been postponed with no make up date determined.


Schultz Named Spartan Athlete of the Week for May 13

YORK, Pa. – York College is proud to announce that senior women’s lacrosse player Leah Schultz (Catonsville, Md./Seton Keough) has been named the York College Spartan Athlete of the Week for the week ending on May 12, 2013.

Schultz closed out a tremendous four-year career with the Spartans on Saturday in Salisbury, Md. at the NCAA tournament. The Spartans fell 10-9 in a stellar matchup against Franklin & Marshall. Schultz was a force for the Green and White throughout the entire game. She notched four goals, including 3-of-5 on free position. She also had a game-high four draw controls. 

Earlier in the week, Schultz led the Spartans in their first NCAA win in women’s lacrosse history. In the 13-6 victory against Washington & Lee, Schultz started off things off for the Spartans with a goal just 1:19 into the game. She finished the contest with six points on five goals and one assist.

Schultz and the other eight seniors leave the Spartan program after four seasons with a combined 51 wins, two CAC championship game appearances and two NCAA tournament appearances. 

Schultz is a business administration major and the daughter of Jim and Lynn Schultz.
