YORK, Pa. – York College is proud to announce that sophomore men’s lacrosse player Tyler Hutson (Westminster, Md./Winters Mill) has been named the York College Spartan Athlete of the Week for the week ending on March 31, 2013.
Hutson powered the red-hot Spartans to two more wins during the week as the Spartans downed Misericordia and Christopher Newport to extend their win streak to five. In the win at Misericordia, Hutson had four goals and two assist for six points with a ground ball. Two of his four goals came on the man-advantage.
In the win over future CAC opponent CNU, Hutson tied a school-record with seven goals while he also had an assist for eight points. The eight points ties a career-high for Hutson and ranks third on the single-game list for York. He also had a pair of ground balls and caused turnovers for the Spartans in the win.
For the week, Hutson had 14 points on 11 goals and three assists. He scored his 11 goals on just 17 shots with 13 of those shots being on target.
Hutson is a business administration major and the son of Jim and Karen Hutson.
